Congrats Tobias, that's great stuff! I was confused when I first read your post as I was like, "um, who is representing Crits Happen in Nashville?" but your second note made sense :-)

I'm still curious how EC x 2 and Om would do, but I only have one EC at the moment.

Petting Zoo tricks look like fun though! We had someone who finished near 4th i believe use Jaina, Phad and Savin, with Crusader Aura on Savin, pushing Jaina up and spawning the elemental on the center hill on tick 1. Insanely fun looking and quite successful!

The cool thing, is several teams are highly competitive, and it's not just HTX or HHX now!

From Nashville here again, unbelievably I won the event. I built and played the deck I mentioned last night after watching the match with Allen Burkes vs. Tyrande, created by Team Crit Happens from Dayton Ohio, with Lady Jaina, Vindicator Krauston and Ryno the Short. I just happened to have the pieces and I knew it was better than what I had planned to play (Elizabetha x 2 and Omedus).

I played against the mirror 6 of 7 games today (5 against the team that created and brought the deck from Dayton/Indiana, and one against my storemate who replaced Kaustron with Elendril) and went undefeated (except for losing the coin flip for round 5 so we could get some food), losing my Jaina only once, and killing 7-8. The only other deck I played against today was a double Morganis/Aleyah Ice Block deck.

I have to say the Team Crit Happens guys were amazing, and didn't strangle me for stealing their design.=) Every game was a tense, strategic battle with 12 figures on the board most of the time, but they were still amazingly fun, with good senses of humor all around.

There were 7 Jaina's in the Top 8 in Nashville. I'm not sure what the 8th deck was, as almost all of my games went to time plus 2 ticks, but I think it was either Jaina/Phadelus or Lady Vashje. The finals took a little over two hours and ended 24-15.

Thanks to Kevin Kirby who I played in the finals and Allen Burkes who I played in the semis. He designed the majority of the warband. They did a great job, qualifying I think their entire team of 5-6 with it.

All in all, an awesome weekend here in Nashville where the Spectral Safari and this event have been our only real tournaments.

And thanks to all the people I bugged today with rules questions! (one of the consequences of never having any tournaments!=)

On top of it all, I think I made some friends as well, and that's just as cool as winning!
